Two secondary characters from the Irony storyworld (told you it gets a lot of work in the summer! Now, keep writing...) Prince Kate and Cassian meet in a bar, one in commoner's clothes and one dressed like a prince...not sure if it's canon or AU but I have this little idea that Cassian tried to steal fruit from the palace garden and Kate apprehended him with his superior skill at sword-fighting. Well tried to. He got beaten, badly. So after that he took to moonlighting as a pub brawler to learn how to fight dirty. Cassian, a popular figure in the underground, keeps an eye on him until the day comes to approach him again...

May scrap since the idea of the prince being less of a pompous idiot is slightly saddening.
