Soft focus

A while ago it occurred to me there is an attractive, mysterious and charming airship captain on board the Irony, and his ever-loyal, cheerful first mate. The fact that she is in love with him clicked a moment before the complications of his troubled past did. The way Spanner and Astrion's romance pans out in the story may not be as happy as this but in my head this is how they appear
